Data Breach at Vikor Scientific (Vanta Diagnostics)

Recently, a security breach affected Vikor Scientific, now called Vanta Diagnostics, due to issues with their vendor, Catalyst RCM. Located in Charleston, South Carolina, Vikor’s labs—KorGene and KorPath in Florida—were also impacted. Approximately 139,964 people’s electronic health information was compromised.

Catalyst RCM, tasked with notifying those affected, detected suspicious activity in its secure system on November 13, 2025. Investigations revealed unauthorized server access occurred between November 8 and November 9, 2025, with data exfiltration confirmed.

Catalyst RCM has updated its security protocols and advised the affected to monitor for identity theft. Although no misuse is reported, free credit protection services are offered. Despite no ransomware being confirmed, the Everest group claimed responsibility and threatened data leaks.
