QuantWare and C-DAC Forge Hybrid Quantum Computing Partnership
QuantWare and C-DAC Join Forces for Quantum Innovation
QuantWare, a pioneer in superconducting quantum processors, has teamed up with C-DAC, India’s Center for Development of Advanced Computing, under a new Letter of Intent. This strategic alliance focuses on co-developing hybrid quantum solutions to enrich research and academic efforts in India. By pooling resources, they aim to push boundaries in quantum computing, ensuring Indian institutions have access to cutting-edge technologies.
The collaboration’s core goal is to nurture indigenous development of cryogenic electronics and superconducting quantum hardware. QuantWare brings its expertise in superconducting processors, leveraging innovative VIO 3D scaling technology. On the other hand, C-DAC will spearhead the ChipIN initiative, focusing on local Quantum Processing Units development and associated cryogenic and control electronics, within India’s Hybrid HPC-Quantum Mission.
A Milestone for India’s Quantum Future
This partnership is a significant leap toward crafting a robust quantum framework in India, in line with the ChipIN initiative and the National Quantum Mission. Shri E. Magesh, C-DAC’s Director General, sees this as a step forward in electronics and IT, cementing India’s role at the forefront of tech evolution. QuantWare’s CEO, Matt Rijlaarsdam, emphasized how merging C-DAC’s computational prowess with QuantWare’s quantum processors can drive hybrid computing systems, meeting India’s technological aspirations.
