HPE and NVIDIA Launch Private Cloud AI for Data Sovereignty
HPE and NVIDIA Launch Blackwell AI Infrastructure Suite
On June 30, 2025, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and NVIDIA unveiled their latest initiatives in AI infrastructure at The Sphere in Las Vegas. This launch includes the innovative Blackwell GPU architecture, aiming to address the growing demand for on-premises AI systems. By targeting organizations who prioritize data privacy and stringent security measures, this collaboration enhances both companies’ commitments to advancing technology.
At the HPE Discover Las Vegas 2025 event, three new solutions were introduced, tailored for service providers, government entities, and businesses seeking alternatives to existing cloud services. These integrated systems simplify deployment, making them a strong competitor in the cloud space. HPE President and CEO Antonio Neri emphasized that generative and physical AI can significantly boost productivity and drive societal change, contingent on robust infrastructure and quality data.
Debuting HPE Private Cloud AI with Blackwell Architecture
The centerpiece of this partnership is the HPE Private Cloud AI platform. It combines NVIDIA’s Blackwell computing power with HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers—well-regarded for their performance in benchmarking tests. This platform caters to organizations with stringent data privacy needs and features a secure, air-gapped management system.
Moreover, the platform supports multi-tenancy, facilitating efficient resource sharing within organizations. To ease adoption, HPE’s try-and-buy program enables companies to trial the Private Cloud AI solutions across Equinix’s global network. The launch also identified market segments with unique needs, including services for large-scale providers and tailored governmental AI systems.
Advancing Data-Heavy AI Operations
On the hardware front, the Compute XD690 supports up to eight NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs, facilitating large-scale AI operations. The HPE Performance Cluster Manager aids data center operators in managing expansive frameworks, reducing operational hurdles significantly.
Innovations in storage are marked by the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, which optimizes data pipelines for swift access to extensive datasets and model libraries. Additionally, HPE’s Unleash AI ecosystem now includes 26 new partners and over 75 use cases, covering fields from smart cities to cybersecurity.
Assessing the Impact
HPE’s collaboration with Accenture focuses on AI solutions for financial services, integrating Accenture’s AI Refinery platform with HPE’s infrastructure to meet sector regulations. Furthermore, HPE Financial Services offers a financing model with reduced terms to encourage AI deployment, allowing for proof-of-concept phases.
This broadened product suite positions HPE as a formidable contender against cloud giants, enabling enterprises to leverage AI within existing data centers. As NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang highlighted, by combining HPE’s tech acumen with NVIDIA’s infrastructure, enterprises can leverage data, accelerating innovation.
