DWP Enhances Citizen Experience with Route 101 Partnership

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is embarking on an exciting journey to revamp its contact centre infrastructure. How are they doing it? By joining forces with Route 101, a cloud system integrator, to introduce a UK-based Citizen Experience Platform (CXP). This platform showcases NiCE’s cutting-edge CXone Mpower technology.

This innovative step is more than just a tech upgrade; it’s about transforming the way the DWP connects with citizens. The new system is set to boost the work of over 40,000 agents by enhancing both telephone and digital services.

Route 101 plays a crucial role here, leading the shift from the outdated on-premises systems. This move not only modernizes operations but also ensures data remains within the UK’s jurisdiction, fulfilling all compliance requirements.

Russell Attwood, CEO of Route 101, expressed his pride in the collaboration, highlighting their blend of expertise in public sector needs and NiCE’s state-of-the-art solutions. “This contract is a major milestone for us,” he remarked.

Darren Rushworth, President of NiCE International, is equally upbeat, seeing this partnership as a vehicle for DWP’s Service Modernisation initiative. This collaboration will undoubtedly enhance digital services and workforce efficiency.
