Addressing Latency with Local Infrastructure

Traditional public cloud solutions, usually operated from data centers far away in Europe or North America, come with a hefty dose of latency. Such delays pose challenges, especially for applications relying on real-time data processing like IoT and AI. Osemeke underscored the importance of local infrastructure in minimizing these delays and facilitating real-time data management.

Industries like oil and gas, where instantaneous monitoring of processes is paramount, and financial services, where quick transaction processing is crucial, will greatly benefit from this initiative.

Securing Nigeria’s Digital Future

As part of its commitment, Unitellas is actively contributing to the formulation of the Sovereign Cloud Policy. This strategic initiative seeks to secure international cloud investments while ensuring that data generated domestically stays within Nigeria’s borders, thereby reducing capital flight and safeguarding critical digital assets. Collaboration with Galaxy Backbone and the Ministry of Communications is also underway to support the 1Government Cloud initiative, defining the future of digital government operations.
