Dhaka, May 20, 2025 – Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, a special assistant to the chief adviser at the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, reassured the public at a recent press conference that Starlink’s operations in Bangladesh are firmly under the country’s control. Data sovereignty, he emphasized, would be maintained as Starlink uses local gateways to manage data traffic, ensuring compliance with Bangladesh’s laws and regulations.

The service promises competitive pricing, with revised monthly packages at Tk 6,000 and Tk 4,200, making high-speed internet more accessible. A one-time installation fee of Tk 47,000 applies, bringing unprecedented internet speeds of up to 300 Mbps to homes.
