Qilimanjaro Introduces QiliSDK: Simplifying Quantum Development

In an exciting development, Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech from Barcelona has rolled out QiliSDK, a new open-source Python framework. This innovative software development kit (SDK) promises to unify the creation of digital, analog, and hybrid quantum algorithms into one seamless and user-friendly platform. Essentially, QiliSDK simplifies writing algorithms while ensuring they work smoothly across a variety of quantum technologies.

With this launch, Qilimanjaro solidifies its commitment to providing essential tools for advancing practical quantum computing. Positioned as your entry point to Qilimanjaro’s advanced multimodal quantum data center, QiliSDK connects you to their sophisticated hardware like superconducting digital quantum processing units (QPUs) and high-performance computing accelerators. This direct link allows researchers and developers to prototype, execute, and refine quantum workflows efficiently.

Empowering Developers with QiliSDK

David Arcos, Software Director at Qilimanjaro, highlights that QiliSDK helps streamline quantum algorithm development, offering a transparent and controlled transition from simulation to actual hardware. Its modular structure includes high-level abstractions for qubits and optimization algorithms without being tied to specific backends. This gives users flexibility, with easy switching between CPUs, GPUs, and QPUs, thanks to integrated backends.

Key features include a unified API, backend switching, and visual circuit representation tools. As Qilimanjaro continuously evolves, future updates to QiliSDK promise enhancements like pulse programming and improved hybrid workflows. The focus remains on improving coherence and reducing errors by optimizing the unique capabilities of analog quantum systems.

For those interested, detailed insights and access to QiliSDK are available on their GitHub repository.
