Enhancing Transparency in Post-Quantum Security & Messaging
## Enhancing Transparency in Security
Cloudflare is doubling down on transparency in the ever-evolving security landscape, focusing on post-quantum encryption, secure messaging, and routing protection.
Recently, Cloudflare Radar expanded its offerings, with new datasets and tools enhancing security analysis:
**Post-Quantum Monitoring Expansion**: We’ve broadened our monitoring to cover origin-facing connections, not just client-side tracking. There’s a handy tool to check any website’s post-quantum encryption compatibility.
**Key Transparency Dashboard**: A new section provides a public dashboard to track Key Transparency Logs for encrypted platforms like WhatsApp, making it easy to monitor public key verification.
**Routing Security Insights**: We’re enriching our routing security data with insights on the ASPA standard. This helps detect and prevent BGP route leaks.
### Evaluating Post-Quantum Compatibility
Since early 2024, Cloudflare Radar notes a jump in client support for post-quantum encryption—from under 3% to over 60% as of February 2026. A new API lets users opt for post-quantum connections, ensuring secure transitions for uncacheable content. Our latest update shines a light on origin servers’ compatibility with post-quantum algorithms.
### Testing Post-Quantum Encryption Support
We’ve launched a tool for checking post-quantum encryption support—simply check any website’s compatibility to foster a more secure Internet.
### Securing Messaging with Key Transparency
End-to-end encrypted messaging apps rely on public-key cryptography, but they need trust in key management. Key Transparency creates an auditable log of public keys verifiable by third parties. We’ve introduced a Key Transparency section on Cloudflare Radar, starting with WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger logs, sharing status and key directory data.
### Monitoring ASPA for Routing Security
The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) lacks inherent security, exposing networks to risks. ASPA complements RPKI, adding crucial validation for path announcements. Our new tracking feature on Cloudflare Radar illustrates ASPA adoption, offering insights into growth trends across various regions.
### Evolving Security Landscape
As Internet security evolves, so does Cloudflare Radar, offering new insights into routing security and post-quantum measures. Stay tuned for more updates and let us know if you need more information.
