Recent Breach Announcement: Managed Care Advisors and Sedgwick

A cybersecurity breach involving Managed Care Advisors and Sedgwick Government Solutions has been reported by Steve Alder on February 18, 2026. The breach led to unauthorized access and data encryption on a server containing sensitive personal and health information.

Sedgwick, a federal contractor headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, promptly responded by cutting off access to the affected server and restoring data from secure backups. Mandiant was engaged to assist with the forensic investigation, revealing that access began on November 16, 2025, via an SFTP application vulnerability. The breach exposed sensitive details like names, social security numbers, and health information.

TridentLocker, a threat group, claimed responsibility, leaking data on the dark web. Sedgwick has offered affected individuals access to credit monitoring and identity theft protection services as a precaution. While proactive measures were in place, further enhancements to security protocols have been implemented.
