SEALSQ Launches Quantum-Resistant Platform for Europe’s Digital Security

Last Updated: February 7, 2026By

SEALSQ Corp’s Quantum Security Initiative

On February 4, 2026, SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) announced a bold new plan to counteract the burgeoning threats posed by quantum computing. At the Tech&Fest event, CEO Carlos Moreira introduced their “root-to-quantum” strategy. This approach aims to enhance digital security using advanced semiconductors, post-quantum cryptography, and quantum connectivity, especially in vital European sectors like aerospace and military.

Moreira highlighted the urgency of preparing for “Q-Day”—when quantum computers might breach existing encryption methods. SEALSQ’s platform addresses this with a holistic approach, focusing on secure semiconductor designs that create a comprehensive chain of trust. By embedding a Root of Trust in secure controllers and trusted platform modules (TPMs), they ensure robust authenticity and resilience against quantum threats.

This initiative leverages post-quantum cryptography, focusing on quantum-resistant key exchanges and signatures, particularly for devices with limited resources. Their adaptive architecture supports cryptographic agility, allowing systems to evolve with emerging quantum threats.

SEALSQ’s platform also extends secure connectivity from production to decommissioning, enhancing system longevity in defense, aerospace, and energy sectors.

Creating a Secure Quantum Highway

Beyond robust security measures, SEALSQ is developing a “quantum highway,” linking classical and quantum systems. At Tech&Fest, Moreira emphasized the infrastructure’s role in verifying quantum node interactions through hardware-level security like an embedded Root of Trust, strengthening identity integrity and secure key management.

This architecture smoothly accommodates advancements in quantum technology and cryptographic protocols, ensuring device resilience throughout their lifecycle.

By building a sovereignty framework, SEALSQ aims to protect Europe’s critical infrastructure from quantum computing threats. Moreira stressed the importance of proactively addressing vulnerabilities that could jeopardize essential systems once Q-Day arrives.
