SEALSQ and Kaynes SemiCon Join Forces in Quantum-Resistant Semiconductor Development

In a momentous collaboration, SEALSQ Corp has partnered with Kaynes SemiCon to create SEALKAYNESQ Ltd, marking a significant stride in semiconductor and quantum technology innovation. This venture will establish a sovereign semiconductor platform in India capable of withstanding post-quantum challenges, aligning with India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s objectives.

The move away from traditional practices towards this advanced industrial setup highlights a commitment to robust, secure semiconductor processes. The focus areas include vital industries such as government, defense, finance, and healthcare, underlining the importance of secure, compliant solutions.

Quantum Shield™ and Local Manufacturing Spotlight

Central to the venture is the planned Outsourced Semiconductor Test and Personalization facility at Kaynes SemiCon’s site. Here, cutting-edge technology will incorporate Quantum Cryptography at the silicon level, leveraging SEALSQ’s Quantum Shield™ to counter quantum threats.

SEALSQ holds a 51% stake in this venture, ensuring a strong governance structure and protection of intellectual property. This strategic partnership aims to future-proof India’s digital infrastructure by integrating post-quantum solutions into locally produced semiconductors.

Strengthening India’s Semiconductor Industry

Both companies are taking advantage of favorable trade conditions under the Swiss-India Free Trade Agreement, encouraging innovation and efficiency. Positioned in Gujarat, Kaynes SemiCon’s facility is already a key player in India’s burgeoning semiconductor landscape.

SEALKAYNESQ is poised to empower India in becoming a global leader in semiconductors, underpinned by robust governmental support and initiatives like the India Semiconductor Mission.
