Cohesity and Google Cloud Strengthen Partnership

Cohesity is taking its collaboration with Google Cloud up a notch, enriching its data protection solutions and pushing forward its artificial intelligence capabilities. The partnership’s goal is to introduce new data sovereignty and cybersecurity features that make data more secure and insightful. Following initial enhancements in April, the two tech giants are now offering deeper integration and additional services.

These enhancements include Cohesity’s Gaia GenAI search assistant working seamlessly with Google’s Gemini models and the inclusion of Google Threat Intelligence alongside Mandiant for incident response and cloud recovery. As Cohesity’s CEO, Sanjay Poonen notes, the collaboration transforms regulatory compliance into trust-building assets, helping organizations to better protect and utilize their data as they migrate to Google Cloud.

Advanced Cybersecurity and AI Features

With all elements of the Cohesity Data Cloud now accessible via Google Cloud Marketplace, users can leverage solutions like Cohesity’s DataProtect to secure environments such as Google Compute Engine and Cloud Storage. This will soon expand to include Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and BigQuery while improving storage capabilities.

Furthermore, a cloud-based version of Cohesity’s Gaia AI assistant incorporates Google’s Gemini models to analyze unstructured data, integrating with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI Search for immediate insights. Cohesity’s Data Cloud also benefits from Google Threat Intelligence for preemptive malware threat detection, enhanced by a collaboration between the Cyber Event Response Team and Mandiant.

These developments represent not only a fortified partnership but a strategic leap in AI and cybersecurity capabilities for customers, providing a compliant and robust future.
