Quantum Art Raises $100M to Revolutionize Trapped-Ion Quantum Computing
A New Milestone for Quantum Art
Quantum Art, an innovative Israeli company in the realm of full-stack quantum computing, has just scored a major victory. The firm closed a whopping $100 million in its Series A funding round. This substantial financial boost propels Quantum Art’s total funding to an impressive $124 million, setting the stage for faster growth and a competitive edge in quantum technology.
Led by Bedford Ridge Capital, the funding attracted attention from fresh faces like Battery Ventures and Destra Investments, along with many others. Long-time supporters like Amiti Ventures and the Weizmann Institute of Science reaffirmed their backing, maintaining their faith in the company’s groundbreaking vision.
What’s Next for Quantum Art?
With these new funds, Quantum Art plans to turbocharge the development of Perspective, their pioneering multi-core system featuring 1,000 qubits. The plan doesn’t stop there; the funding will also fuel the design of a revolutionary 2D architecture poised to integrate thousands of qubits. This smart setup involves reconfigurable, multi-core trapped-ion chains for extraordinary connectivity, enhancing gate performance by a staggering 100 times per second, all while minimizing the system’s size.
This financial injection follows the unveiling of the largest fully controlled trapped-ion chain with 200 ions. Strategic collaborations, such as the partnership with NVIDIA CUDA-Q, have resulted in significant advancements, like reducing circuit depth dramatically. On another front, they’re working with Ayalon Highways to tackle traffic issues with cutting-edge quantum solutions.
