SoftBank Corp. has teamed up with Oracle Corporation to improve AI and cloud solutions tailored specifically for Japan. This collaboration introduces Cloud PF Type A, a unique set of solutions powered by Oracle Alloy, crafted for Japanese businesses. The rollout of these services is set to happen in phases, supporting innovation and digital growth across the country.

SoftBank, leveraging Oracle Alloy, will provide access to over 200 AI and cloud services via Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). To enhance reliability, SoftBank’s initiative spans two major data center locations in Japan, introducing advanced safeguards and connectivity options. This setup is complemented by secure network links through SoftBank’s OnePort and SmartVPN, ensuring consistent access to cloud resources. Their Managed Service Provider offerings will provide businesses with comprehensive support.

SoftBank plans to harness GPU environments and develop swift computational capabilities for generative AI processes, emphasizing sovereignty as central to adopting these advancements.
