Everest Ransomware Breach Allegedly Hits Allegis Group

On September 11, 2025, news broke that Allegis Group, a major player in U.S. talent management, might have been the latest victim of a data breach orchestrated by the notorious Everest ransomware group. According to Cybernews, the hackers asserted they accessed the company’s sensitive internal files.

Analysis of the leaked data revealed, according to Cybernews researchers, two crucial screenshots. The first encompassed a jaw-dropping 135,000 entries with names, emails, and phone numbers of clients. The second screenshot hinted at an even larger trove, presenting approximately 426,000 similar entries.

“The post mentions a ‘vast array of personal documents,’ yet offers no examples, implying these could carry greater risks than the contact details shown,” noted the researchers.

Further insights from Cybernews’s Ransomlooker highlighted that over 100 global entities reported breaches attributed to this Russia-linked cybercrime ring in the past year, affecting high-profile names like Coca-Cola Middle East and Crumbl.

As the frequency of these cyberattacks rises, it’s critical for organizations to develop robust strategies to defend against ransomware threats.
